Gloria is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Terri & William Henne of Covington, Bobbette & Jim Subler of Colorado, Robin & Timothy Zumbaugh of Indianapolis, IN 14 grandchildren, Zachary & Michele Henne, Nicholas & Jessica Henne, Peter & Julie Henne, Katrina & Thomas Richard, Brock & Krystal Kiser, Greta Welsh, Joseph Kiser, Robert Subler, Sara Subler, Julianna Subler, Oliva Subler, Emily & Nino Berticelli, Laura & Sam Haluska, Thomas Zumbaugh numerous great-grandchildren brother and sister-in-law, Dave & Mary Alyea of Covington sister-in-law, Maxine Alyea of Dayton brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Neil & Joan Shearer of Greenville her cat Baby other relatives and friends and Patches the calico cat, who was her faithful companion at the Brethren Retirement Community. Preceded in death by her parents husband, Doyle Shearer in 2007 granddaughter, Robin Kiser brother, Richard Alyea and her doggie, Ali. Gloria was born Septemin Covington to the late, Hershel Robert & Dorothy (Miller) Alyea a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1953 had previously worked at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy as the Volunteer Coordinator with 25 years of service member of Covington Church of the Brethren and she was an avid reader and gardener. Shearer, age 82 lifelong resident of Covington, passed away Friday, Jat the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville. ![]()
